A & R Security started managing the account at Jay's Foods on March 5, 1996. Jay's had a very serious theft problem at that time.
Mr. Ray Maloney from Pro-Tech Security introduced his security system to Mr. Dan Madigan and myself. This system is designed to deter any problem that may occur inside and outside of the plant.
Jay's was losing approximately $500 per week in stolen product. The Pro-Tech System became our extra set of eyes.
By reviewing the videotape captured on the security cameras installed by Pro-Tech, we soon discovered that the suspects were coming through a cut fence in the shipping yard. We were able to see the suspects entering and also exiting the shipping trailer yard, but they could not see us. We started recovering stolen product, and months later we started making arrests.
In the one year that A & R Security has been at Jay's Foods, we made a total of seven arrests and recovered large sums of stolen product. The Pro-Tech Security System was a key factor in the last arrest we made. We were able to watch the suspect's every move as he entered and exited Jay's. We were able to record everything, the police were notified and an arrest was made. The suspect is now doing four years jail time.
From January, 1997 to present, Jay's Foods losses went from $500 per week to zero per week.
The Pro-Tech Security System is a very good system to have. Being in the Post Supervisor of security, I would recommend this system to any security company or place of employment.
